New owner!
Hi all, just paid a deposit on a ‘97 VTR, can’t wait for her to arrive!
I’m based near Southampton, but from Wales so a bit of rain and cold weather is no bother to me.
Had my full license for 4 years, all of which have been on a 2003 Suzuki GSXF 600.
Looking forward to finding out about this bike and getting to ride her soon

Welcome home!
When you get it, post up a piccy or two, and don't forget to have some bins in the background.
As in bin there, done that?
No, just bins.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thanks for the welcome!
I'll be sure to get some pics up once she arrives, she's been taken off the dealers website so I can't even get them from that link, so exciting!

Hi, and congrats on choosing a vtr. I collected mine yesterday, and the ride back was interesting to say the least! Sounds like she's ticking over, but a glance at the clocks says differently, beware of that one!

Yep!
80 feels like nothing compared to an inline four. Especially coming from a 600.
Enjoy!

Re: New owner!
Thanks for the welcome everyone!
I can't wait for her to arrive.
I've already grabbed some Xenon bulbs as I saw the complaints on the stock headlight not being great. Looking at these cam chain adjusters next, and may pick up a spare swingarm linkage too (recently did the bearings on my gsxf and it was a massive bitch )
Photos willbe up soon as she's here, with the bins in place too.
