My wife used to have a yellow one years ago. She's looking forward to having a go to see if it brings back memories. Not sure it'll live up to her current Fireblade though!

Little bit more progress....
Re: Little bit more progress....
Took it out for 10/15 minutes last week to get it to to temperature, fill up with fuel and adjust idle speed.
Noticed when adjusting idle it's leaking a bit of coolant from the right radiator where the hose goes on. Hopefully just needing tightened. Will get that done this weekend.
Otherwise pleased!

Was going to clean up the standard levers but found these lovely ones on eBay. Brand new £20 for the pair. Arrived from China in less than a week and look as good as Pazzo/CRG levers I've used in the past. Just much cheaper!

It's surprising how good those cheap Chinese ones actually are, I got a set in silver for my yellow vtr

Have you got a link re the levers
Re: Little bit more progress....
Posted it in the Bargain Bin section, but here's the link.

Was curious what they'd be like but though it worth a punt for the price. Fit perfect though and seem just as good as others I've seen for quite a bit more.

Re: Little bit more progress....
Thanks, I have ordered some. Got short ones at the moment and just want to try a bit more.
Re: Little bit more progress....
So finally got round to changing the last of the coolant hoses. Discovered that one of the chokes has snapped off and previous owner has tried to fixed it with a feck load of liquid metal. Was a horrible bodge and looked to be drawing air in which may have been why it occasionally cut out when closing throttle.
So set of carbs and choke cables ordered off eBay.
Not sure I can be bothered taxing, insuring and MOT'ing again, so might take straight to trackday!
