If you strip all the road gear off and fit some lightweight race bodywork, lightened flywheel, race/lightweight exhaust and a few other bits you'll get a VTR that's under 180kg. Bit drastic though.

thats something i was considering as ive become one of the people i used to mock - a fair weather rider! i dont ride in the dark anymore either as my eyes are getting tired. see what pops up on evilbay...
