So I bought ( many years ago) some high compression pistons, and slapped them into a std bore but knackered storm engine.
There was way too much piston to bore clearance but I built it anyway.
Unsurprisingly it seized on the test ride, and there are score marks on the skirts.
But they will fit a STD bore, new rings, and if you can turn some little teflon buttons to prevent the skirts touching the bores they would be ok.
It's more work than I can be bothered with, a Lu's I no longer have a storm or a storm engine to rebuild, but is this any use to anyone?
The ring area (lands) is unmarked, and the rings are probably ok.
But for a track bike, for instance, 300 pistons plus 100 rings are up for grabs if you can do anything with them.
No use to me, but if you can beat the dustbin men in the morning they're yours.

PM sent Tony.

On checking them carefully there are cracks on the land between top and second ring area on one piston, so they are scrap after all.
Sorry to have raised your hopes, Nick.
