Post by alanfjones1411 »

TVS. an Indian company has bought the Norton name and are supposed to be continuing production. If they do for Norton what they have done for Royal Enfield this can only be good news.Or can it.Better India than China I think.

It’s got to be better than disappearing. Is that right Chris? What’s the chorus?

It’s probably the best outcome they could have hoped for and with manufacturing remaining over here with the same workforce, at least for the time being!

Certainly good for the British employees who have received a right shafting.

I think though, that Norton should concentrate on a 'mainstream' product to generate regular turnover income. The V4SS specials etc, should not form the backbone of the company because that market is truly limited. Something that would rival Triumph's Street Triple could be the answer in that lucrative market.

They might get the Atlas 650 out now and sell plenty to generate some revenue for the V4SS Nigel.

I read somewhere that garner is the no 1 creditor for another business that went bust... He ran it, took the money., went bust and then is first in line for the leftovers 🙄how does that work?
