I'm having second thoughts about this. I may or may not come. If I do it will be in a car with the bike on a trailer and a tent and suitable comforts, squidgy beds, bottles of scotch, pillows, cashew nuts, pipe and slippers and all the other essentials incompatible with travelling on two wheels.

I always like camping.
Is it worth checking in Kirkcudbright?
As long as the bigs are open

iain, I am sure I can talk the venue into converting our bunk house booking into either loch side chalets or camping pitches given the circumstances.. I am highly likely to come in the camper van now, so I will be negotiating anyway.
Pete, dont know how much if any refund we would get if we changed venue to Kirkcudbright campsite, but it could be an option if everyone is ok taking the loss

I'm already booked into a lochside chalet, so will stick with that option.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I forgot they have camping at the Bunkhouse too. Scratch that idea. We've still got a few weeks to see how things are progressing before we decide

Bunk house, tent, van. I'm not really fussed. Tarp over the bike if I have too.
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

spoken to the Bunkhouse operator and they wont be opening the bunkhouse or the camping field
refund is offered but need to try and find a campsite that will let us in!

Hi Al, I don't wish to but in on your gig, but I've just looked on Booking.com and there's loads of B&Bs, Hotels, Guest Houses etc in Stranraer with twin rooms for £50 to £60 per night.
That's £25ish each, might be worth thinking about.

Re: Scotland 2020 31st July till 2nd August
Hi, the reason I havent booked is Im going to be back at work at the Summerisles, up past Ullapool and could only get a couple of days off as we are so far behind.
It takes a day to get back to the borders.
I dont know yet but I can bring a tent but will be along sometime over the weekend.

Talking to the location, they are not allowing tents yet due to COVID restrictions on the shared facilities, so you might have to wild camp somewhere!

Covid grammar lesson:
Past, tents was fine
Current: tents are not permitted
Future- tents will be allowed.
Shame.
The excitement is in tents.
