What a shame. I remember articles in the press about him, his racing and his innovations throughout my time in bikes. Very understated and underrated gentleman. He was never one for self promotion, in an era with some massive ego’s on the grid.
There was an article in Classic bike (I think) recently-ish where he described his racing and how much he enjoyed the Weslake project over and above the JPS Norton.
I didn’t realise he had started a company to reproduce the monocoque Norton’s in 2013, never saw anything about them, that I remember.
