Jets that need a name
Good morning VTR1000.org .I’m a newby from the States . I just purchased a 99 super hawk. The hawk doesn’t look to super now, but will soar high soon. The man I bought it from said he had put stage 2 jets in the carbs . I need to know what mods should be done, if any, to compliment theses jets.

Welcome to the club. There are myriad theories as to the best way to set them up.
Have a read through this link, by a countryman of yours. Have a look inside and see what you’ve actually got inside the carbs.

Benny is as good a name as any.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thank you Kev L for the link. Thank you mr Flat earther and fellow Arkansan ,for the concise write up. I’m replacing the stock spring loaded timing chain tensioners with manual ones . This is happening right after I post ! When tensioners are in place , the carb set up is next. The bike has been wrecked . I had to replace both foot pegs and brackets the left radiator, the front coil pack , the clutch reservoir and lever and the voltage regulator. The tank is severely dented but I think I can straighten it out. The plastics had been removed so they are intact but not in good shape due to years of being exposed to the elements .I’m thinking street fighter. It runs pretty strong but it is capable of more . It’s going to be a labor of love because it’s been some years since Ive been near a bike.I’m thrilled I to have found it and at an extremely low price! So ,we will see how it goes . Goodnight and just blast down your favorite road for me tomorrow.

No problem and if you have any issues with the bike, just let me know. Still new to the state as I have only been here a bit over a month. Now that I have a work space sorted. I can finally get back to putting my bike back together.bidawidagold wrote: ↑Sun May 09, 2021 2:54 am Thank you mr Flat earther and fellow Arkansan ,for the concise write up.
Looking forward to checking out the Arkansas Dragon this summer
