Front MCCT let go

Evening all,

Just started to strip the front cylinder down to see how bad it is. Looking at the below pictures, it's clear the chain has jumped, not in line. Can anyone advise if this is something I can fix or should I just try and find a new head?

Hi Jason,
You need to remove the head to evaluate the damage before you can make the decision to repair and replace. Also if the valves are badly bent you need to check for piston crown damage. If you want to discuss any other please ring me on 07970 915259 anytime.

Front cylinder damage update.

Split the head tonight and as you can see for the pictures, 4 bent valve and slight damage to the piston. Bent valve will have to be replaced, I know that much. However, is the damage on the piston a big problem?

Unlucky I'd say with four valves being bent. I let the experts comment on the piston crown,

Piston is fine, they're solid enough. Just file any sharp edges on the crown.

I'd advise an oil change after you've got it running again.
You'll have had some increased pressure on the big ends; any ,metal particles will be in the oil.
Shouldn't be an issue, though, the bottom ends on these are solid.
