2 owners from new, original was Honda UK, This bike was originally destined for a Honda race school, this ended up not happening and the bikes were sold, so the second owner got it pretty much as new with the exception of some work on the forks as they are not as soft as original items, Maybe Roger D did them back in 1998 ?, I'm pretty sure some of the other bikes of this batch went on to be Modified by spondon for superbike racing, Fabio's Spondon is almost the same registration number..
Anyway enough of the history as really it doesn't mean a great deal with the bike being mostly standard
It is in very good condition and runs well. I will give it a new MOT before sale
It will have a new chain and sprockets as the original is 23 years old, not worth taking the chance, My other storm had a link crack at similar miles.
Also it will have an oil and filter change and a thorough check over.
It has manual cam chain tensioners which were fitted by me approx 6 years and 2k miles ago.
It does show age from being stuck in a garage most of it's life, the fork lowers could do with painting, the thin wheel paint is just starting to flack a little in places, there's a few small bits of surface rust.
This an honest assesment, don't think that it's a rotter it's a genuine low mile bike, you can ride away super happy on it or spend a couple of days sprucing it up, even as it is you have to look close to see the bits I've mentioned.
I've seen some bikes up for sale with more miles and people asking £2500-£2750. I'm going to ask £2150 for it, if i did those bits mentioned above I would be asking £2500 but I'd rather it go as it is as I don't have a great deal of time. I can possibly deliver or meet up somewhere but in that case money needs to be cleared in my account and no backing out at the last minute, I would be able to send detailed pictures of anything you ask for.
I have know this bike and it's owner for more than 6 years.
