Sad news indeed. It was a car event and a Ford escort clipped another car and then hit and flipped into the barrier going into Paddock hill bend. The poor Marshall didn’t stand a chance. I have seen a clip of the video and it’s not good. The family have obviously asked videos are not shown on media platforms out of respect.
Marshall’s at BSB and other events today are being given extra safety briefings today as it can be a very risky and dangerous role. Marshall’s do this volunteer to do this free of charge and are out in all weather all day.

They are motor sport fans and do it for the love of the sport and the benefits for them are free racing and a breakfast and packed lunch.
Without Marshall’s there is no racing.
My thoughts are with his family at this sad time
