Hi. He is renovating VTR from Belgium. I adjusted the valve clearances, fitted the manual timing tensioners, and adjusted the carburetors and TPS. The engine spins only up to 9,000 revolutions. Were Hondas from Belgium blocked by a computer?
Blocked?
Re: Blocked?
It should rev to 10.3 K RPM. It could be the rear cylinder is 180 degrees out since you just did the CCTs.
Loud pipes don't save lives, knowing how to ride your bike will save your life.
Re: Blocked?
Impossible, everything checked 5 times, CCT exchange according to the instructions on the forum. Everything is on the signs. The front cylinder timing pulleys are positioned 0.5mm higher than the cylinder head plane, the rear timing pulleys perfectly aligned. This is the only difference.
Re: Blocked?
You'll know when you ride it, you can feel the acceleration tailing off as you get past 5k revs.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: Blocked?
Try the fuel tap, make sure it is open fully and the hoses are not trapped or kinked
Re: Blocked?
Problem solved. The fault was the replacement of the air filter and one diaphragm in the carburetor not working.

Re: Blocked?
Well, which one of those two was it?

Re: Blocked?
Rear carburetor vacuum inoperative. The choke piston is stuck on the front carburetor. Now the engine spins to the red field around 10,400 rpm
