Got the heads back together and measured the valve clearances. New shims needed.

Good luck with removing the studs tomorrow, it looks like you're going to need it

A very valuable piece of kit to have in your workshop, or outside even

Re: what have you done to your other peoples bikes...oday
...well yesterday... Mounted some can riser plates, fitted some bar risers & a hugger... Frank got paid for some bits...
Laughed out loud at Joneseys Saftey Crocks...
Today I took out The Murvinator to escort The last of The GrainStormers Al & Steve off 'moi land'
Rode with them down to the M25 Junction they might be through the tunnel by now...

Dug around for a set of 600f4i callipers n lines & M/C for Dave mate of Jones...To be delivered on Saturday.
Dug around for all the bits for a back to standard from flat bar swap due in tommorow.
Oil & fillter on the no ticking over Storm, changed the plugs & worked out why the throttle was sticking...wrong throttle tube. I took the cover off to lube the cables & it was snapping back fine. Put the cover back on & without even putting the bolts in it's snagging...
The bike was picked up today...I got a bottle of JD for my time & £50 for the bits n bobs..Sold him a throttle tube as well... He as bought a replacement loom, a spare set of carbs & a pair of cam covers to deleat the PAIRS...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
The flat bar deleat came in today a chap off the FB page who lives in Gravesend...20 mins away.
Nice Storm, ART cans, WP shock & Danmoto rearsets in RED but with a major fairing chop...Screen & ears gone down to the fairing braket...
Still at leaste its still got some fairing on it...
Has a ABM yoke conversion for flat bars. Not seen this type before, unlike the CnC one which replaces the top yoke this one just fits over the exsiting std yoke... He was saying he didnt like how it steerd. Turns out the forks had been dropped through the yokes about 20mm.
The std bars we were fitting back on were sitting proud by 20mm... So had to ABBA front lift it up, loosen the bolts & got the forks up to the right height to get the std bars on with the clip in place... Boxed it all back up.
So one set of std bars with bar ends, throttle tube with the correct cables, some std grips, 2x air box sub fillters, some grease, trimmed some crusty ends off some pipes, adjusted the rear brake light switch & jobs a good un...
I got in exchange a ABA flat bar kit with bars, the throttle tube with an extended cable, some bar end mirrors & domino grips...
Oh & I lent him some gloves, he came with his daughter on piily but she got board & cold & called the mum to come & pick her up, taking his bag with her which had his gloves in...DOH!
Only his second bike from doing his test, had a 600 Bandit then bought this...£700 to insure it...

'Storm went for its MOT today.
Failed....
Feckin bollocky butt biscuits...!
Blaming myself for not prepping it properly.
Headstock bearings ordered and general fiddling afoot.

I picked up the frame and swingarm from the powder coaters yesterday and really annoyingly they didn't mask off the bearing surfaces before blasting.
