hi guys my first post here and i have a problem with the vtr not revving past 5000, last time i rode it it was fine but not now, checked timing all good replaced rr and plugs, could it be the pulse generator? hoping someone can help cheers andy, very good forum by the way

When you say you checked the timing, did you have the bike apart before for anything?

hey yes a few mths ago to change ccts and jet kits but was running great up until now

If this happened after you changed the CCTs then you have the rear cylinder timing out 180 degrees.

might have found the problem the carb slides arent opening at all under acceleration
