went for a short ride this morning and propped the bike up on the stand afterwards to lube the chain. Lo and behold, the two tabs holding the taillight in place are broken... AGAIN!!!!!!! This is the fourth time I have had this happen. The person who designed this feeble, backass set-up should be drawn and quartered. I will fix it correctly once and for all by making brackets to mount the taillight to the subframe.

Cleaned all the Devon sandy rain and flys off it and even degreased the chain sprocket and wheel.

Slackened the steering stem
Brg back to where it was to remove the low speed wandering, then tightened the chain.

Gave it a good dry and about to add some wd40 when I spotted this.

Washed Devon off Nue Red & put the seat hump back on.

Just gotta wait for Doc Mons to post his wash report up...

Took the KTM for an MOT this morning and she passed!

I double checked the lights and horn as I left my house for the mot... damn horn doesn't work! Quickly ripped the extra loud horn from old Stormy and connected the wires and cable tied it to the side of the bike.

Where I had cable tied the temporary horn to the frame, it was vibrating and slightly muffled when you thumb the horn button, it sounds like a steam boat fog horn, the mot tester was wetting himself with laughter!

The front discs are warped and i was worried about having to replace them for the mot, but I got away with it

I'm checking the weather for the 25th meetup first; if it's raining there's no point cleaning it...
And I still need to plug in the diagnostic computer to find out why it kept turning off traction control, the downshift blipper and abs every few miles, in an unpredictable way.
I suspect the front wheel abs ring sensor gap is too large- bloody complicated electronics again.
Still, makes a change from stripping the storm engine between meets to put new pistons in.

Having had the joy of following Jamoi on a couple of runs I can tell you it's a monster! The punch out of a corner and the stability is unbelievable
And lets not forget what Norman used to do with his, passing us all around the outside and leaving us for dust.

Pulled KXNine out , cleaned & re oild the K&N, it had one of the rubber bungs missing so found an old air filter & cut out the bung part from that, fitted fine...Propper bit of Blue Peter Enginering...

New plugs & made a bracket to fit indis on that will be far enough apart to pass an MOT.

Still got to service the callipers front & rear, fresh oil in the forks & check the shock linkage...

Had a visit from the Duffster & Bill, Duffy brought a tank over as I need one thats not rusty or damaged ... Sorted...another job to do swap some tanks over...

add it to the list of things to do...

Took a ride to Banjo land to deliver a tank to Frank and Mac on my TDR watching Mac and my mate Bill change the spark plugs on one of the 9 storms Macster owns.






Then of to Brands Hatch for a spot of lunch.
