Re: crankcase explosion (solved)

This link from the Superhawk mentions your exact problem by "kai ju" (10th post down) so I'm guessing this must be it

Re: crankcase explosion (solved)
now I'm searching the web for what can be done with a faulty stator. if the insulating paint can be renewed or not
Re: crankcase explosion (solved)
You should be able to get it rewound easily enough.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Do let us know if you get anywhere with thattastethefloor wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 11:06 pm now I'm searching the web for what can be done with a faulty stator. if the insulating paint can be renewed or not

Like Tony said, you should be able to get it rewound if you so wish.
Any idea what caused the insulation to get damaged

Re: crankcase explosion (solved)
I think the insulating paint had came off from that portion of the stator due to the age of that, heat or milage of the bike > 50000km and 25 yrs
