Had a trip down to the bike show today. They had a drag strip through the middle of the hall, with a variety of interesting bikes running from BSB bikes to Royal Enfield drag bike to Barry Sheene’s Texaco Heron Suzuki. Lee Bob Jackson was chasing a time on a Kawasaki H2R and left his braking a little too late, touched the barriers and laid it down. Oooops!!
Bought a pair of gloves and a jacket. Good weather, good journey both ways, all good. Couple of pics-

Yes, wasn't as big as previous years, not much of a crowd and not many stalls. I was disappointed by so many so called racers rolling before the timing gate, but as you say, one bloke had the balls to do it right, and sod the consequences.
I had a chat with Michael Rutter, he had a couple if his own bikes and a couple of his dad's old bikes there, which were worth looking over.
I asked him why he wasn't on the drag strip, apparently they didn't ask. And I couldn't order a case of Batham's for delivery, either, they missed a trick there.
The Suzuki endurance racer built from original Suzuki parts to contest a couple if years ago was worth a look, too.
BSA had a stand there, their bikes didn't look too bad for a first attempt (this time round) and as a low-cost option to the Royal Enfield twin it might do ok.
I was after some heated gloves, but there was only one pair in the whole show, Alpinestars at way too much, so I just bought some tools and a tracker.
And that's a rip off, they want to charge me £100 to have it fitted, three wires is all I needs...
I phoned one of their fitters, he said he'd just put it in the air box!
Crazy.
I'll bury it somewhere unaccessible and hard to find, and also bury the wiring connections so it can't just be disconnected.
These people.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

He was ok and as Tony said, it only happened because he had a go!
I like the old flat tank Harley “The silent grey fellow”, reminded me of me!

These old bikes do have an appeal about them as you say Kev
Duffy were you running around behind Kev, or was it the other way round
