Exhaust Recommendation for Firestorm

i fitted "ream ass" high level. they sounded good, fitted well and i think they looked like they where ment to be there

Anyone got any further info on this pinking issues with aftermarket exhausts? I’m keen to remove my baffles but less keen to kill the engine.

Try it with the baffles removed, if it starts pinking you'll hear it.
If you're really worried about it you can always get the bike set up properly with some time on a Dyno, it'll cost but it'll give you peace of mind,

These bikes run rich as standard so there's a healthy amount of fuel under normal circumstances. Fitting freer-flowing exhausts won't cause a problem.
I've been working on these bikes for years and, apart from when they drop a valve due to cct failure, I've never seen a piston problem.

Ignore that journo, they've never owned one.

Look on the Japanese eBay sites. Jauce is one I've used before.

You'll have to pay duty but they will still be a reasonable price, and your dream ticket items should be available.

That's what I ended up doing, picked up the Moriwaki from ebay Japan which was in stunningly good condition and all up including taxes it was around 1000USD, delivered to me in the UK in 4 days, fitted and I am living the exhaust dream. Had a ride out today and the exhausts sounded glorious going down the Dalveen Pass on a fab summer's day

FYI, the VTR engine shares very little with the SP-1 and SP-2, other than both being liter-size 90-degree DOHC V-twins

Popping and banging isn't isn't a good thing. It usually means either an exhaust leak or a overly lean setting on the pilot jets.

Took a chance on GR Moto cans and link pipes.
Look good, sound good, build quality good, value for money good.
No jetting changes, runs fab and I run with baffles out (and ear plugs!)

Cans are etched BSAU -193A...so obviously legal

Tidy bike sir. Off topic but do you by any chance have any DIY tips for fixing paint blisters? My Forks and Tank starting to bubble up in places.

...or a failure in the air-cut valve system on the carbs which is there to prevent this.
