Gear Selector Spindle

Hi Guys

I need to replace the gear selector spindle on my 02. I can get one from a 98 but the part number is different to mine.

The part number for 97-00 is 24610-MBB-000 and for 01 on it is 24610-MBB-D40.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two and can I fit the earlier one in my 02.

The early ones are a chunkier ally, much thicker than the later ones which are more like a bit of thick coat hanger !

They are the same length. I have a early fitment one on my '03.

So yes they are interchangeable.
