Stroboscopic led
Stroboscopic led
I don’t claim to be a forum expert, but I’ve tried searching in a few promising places and haven’t found a mention of what I am thinking about. I’m pondering using the sidelight facility to house a stroboscopic led. I can’t imagine that it hasn’t occurred to somebody already, since I think it would be very useful. I always notice that the cyclists who have them stand out much better than those just having a lamp. Call me a buff old traditionalist, but I suspect that because it would be fairly simple, fairly cheap and very effective, it will no doubt be illegal. I’m thinking that some discreet switching will be necessary such that the light comes on automatically with the headlight, but can also be independently switched as required. As a last resort I’d try and blag to the copper that the damn thing must have a dodgy connection ‘cos it doesn’t usually flash like that!

Rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
Re: Stroboscopic led
Just get a cheap cyclist ebay item, affix it to the mirror stem. Turn it on/off manually when you need it. Either a button battery or rechargeable.
