So expect all manufacturers to rush out new 850cc superbikes.
There won't be much of a CC gap between those and the A2 compatible versions.
I won't miss the wings and aero- but the height-lowering tech on some giant trailers seems to have proved a good idea for shorter riders.

Ah, well, the best riders will still win the most races.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Yeah but like F1 it's the top category in racing...

If I want to see road relevant bikes racing there's WSBK* or BSB.

MotoGP is, & always has been prototype machines & should stay that way... OK reducing costs** is a good thing & over the years tech from the racing has filtered down to the road & that's a good thing as well.

* OK so from the RC30 onwards the homologation specials kind of out price most road users   When the RC30 & OW1 were in the shops they were just under 10k... at the time top road bikes, GSXR, FZR, ZZR, CBR ect were around 5-6k. A good RC30 will now set you back 16k+ 8O

** In F! before their price cap came on stream even the wheel nuts were bespoke @ about £700 each. 2 cars 4 each plus I'm sure they had spares, mind you you didn't see many cross threaded nuts back then...Oh & the nut guns are about a grand each as well. 8O.

So what's next as Dorna now own WSBK as well you cant have the those bikes being faster than than the MotoGP bikes are they going to drop back to 750's ? Apart from Suzuki I don't think anyone makes 750's now...???
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Don't get me wrong I'm all for safety, however I thought we went down the route of having smaller engines in the name of safety back in 2007, they were 800cc iirc and lasted for 4 or 5 years before going back to the bigger engines that we now have :eh:

Funny/strange Mac you mention F1, as "Liberty" have either bought or in the process of buying Moto GP from Dorna, they already have F1.
