In 2024: Which CCT to go for and where to get it?

Post by VTR-Norway »

Hi,

I am not being ignorant to previous threads regarding this subject.

I've searched and done my best in an attempt to understand the information I found.
Being a twostroke only guy for 38 years, I find it difficult understanding and absorbing all the information I found.

I wonder:

Are there any of those CCT upgrades which I could outsource to my local Honda motorcycle dealer to install?

I'll order the parts and deliver them to my dealer.

Is this at all feasible?

Thanks for your input.

It's possible but you might find they are reluctant to fit aftermarket parts, some dealers wont even work on older bikes.

If they do work on older bikes they will try to insist you fit OEM Honda parts.

Follow this guide & take your time it really isn't that hard to do it yourself.

Read through it a few times until your OK with it.

Or print it off & take it to an independent bike mechanic to do it for you.

The lead mechanic at my local Honda store just happens to be a twostroke guy like myself. So I don't think this will be any problem 8) .

I will do another read through. Then I'll probably ask the local mechanic to do the rest.

To be honnest, the potential of disaster scares the hell out of me. Twostrokes I've learned to understand to some level.

I will follow your advice. Thank you very much. :D
