Thermostat sensors

Post by Smith31084 »

Hi guys, my temp gauge isnt working and im just wondering what gives it a reading, there are two sensors on the thermostat housing but what one does what? Bike is running okay and the fan comes on but the gauge needle doesnt move. Is it okay to ride it with the gauge not working? Thanks in advance.

Fabio's bang on. My gauge just started flapping around over rough roads. It was just a bit loose. The black plastic cover pops off quite easily and I just crimped the connector a bit tighter.
