Thanks Rob for sending some of your lovely sunshine over today
I made the most of it and got a ride-out in before it disappeared again
I also got the chance to see how my new motorcycle gloves worked out on the bike, all good I'm pleased to say

While I was out I stopped off at one of our local motorcycle shops. I tried on some new boots, all good until I noticed the double layer on top of the boot that is meant to be protecting it from the gear change lever was too far forward for the Storm. So it was back to the drawing board

Spent a few hours a tinkering in the cave. Swapped the tail & tank over on BIG Bird, that was the replacement stuff I got last week.

Found out why it had really shite steering lock, the 2 mahoosive allen bolts on the Spondon yoke were snagging on the front tank bolts... Had to remove the rubbers & top hats & found some large dome head bolts, used a washer/spacer thing ...sorted. Thought it might hit the tank but all good...

The plate on the bike is well not MOT safe 3x6 letterbox type thing plus it's cracked... I'm sure I had a plate made for it but can I find it :lol

Have to decide what to do about indies as the MIG's are kind of in the way, It had some flush type ones on the old plastics one was stuck on, sticky pads, the other self tappers... The wires were just fed around under the indie's & under the plastics !

Always an Autosol man but tried this mothers stuff on alloy..well worth the change .so much easier to get a decent surface.

I have always been an Autosol man too when it comes to polishing alloy parts.

i tore into the LC with it on the rims which i was never happy with and its done the job the very best

Neil, I got mine today from Amazon prime 5oz tub, almost £12, your deal is a better one than mine cost-wise

Rob, I am very impressed with this Mothers Alloy polish, almost unbelievable how little effort is required in comparison to what we were using to achieve a brilliant shine That was on previously polished alloy that had gone dull, similar to your Moriwaki frame I would say.

The only thing I didn't like is the way the top of the plastic tub fits back on, unless of course I got a faulty tub? It looks like it's a screw on lid, but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get it to screw back on. So I ended up pressing down on the top then it went on, then nipped it up on the threads with a short turn. Not sure if yours is like that?
That is only a small detail, I am over the moon with it

Sounds like it's quite abrasive, so be careful on plated items.
