as we are getting close to kick off date for our last weekend meeting of the year, its time to get some momentum back on this thread.

I am planning on going up on the Thursday and getting an extra day of riding on the Friday. I think there will be a couple of others up for this so who else might be interested?

I am kinda, its an epic time at work for me in Sept, so I might only know if I can go literally the day before.
Also, I am back to riding after 20 years off and quite slow...
Where exactly is it so I can scope put local accommodation? :D

I'm not a definite yet but I'm certainly going to try. As long as work doesn't interfere too much I should be able to make Thursday

Weather ten day forecasts are now available.
Tony,
will you be stopping at the Old Severn bridge services? If I can make it on time I could meet you there?

Sure, that would be good.
I'm meeting Alastair in Abergavenny (5 Hereford Road) at 14.30 on Thursday so will see you at the services at 13.00 to leave at 13.30, if that suits you?

And anyone else joining us is also welcome.

Hi all, update.
It's getting closer to the day.
I believe quite a few people are doing an extra day, either before or after the meeting.
The cost for the extra night is £22.50p
(Reminder, breakfast is not available on the extra days)
If you are planning on staying an extra night, can you please send me £22.50p per night.
Due to the number people doing the extra night, and the fact that people rarely carry cash around with them any more, it's easier for everyone to send it to me, and I'll forward it to Ruth in a lump sum.
Tony, you've already paid for the extra night.

We're into the 10 day weather forecast window, it's looking like winter woolies and wetsuit weather so far- might improve, though.

I'll get me boots dubbined, just in case.
(Look it up, younger members; it's in the archives along with the tin of chain grease you had to boil your chain in, on the cooker hob)👴

Yes Jamie, contact Jones to meet up with him & ride down together or just show up at Clacket Lane @ the fuel station, 09,00 aiming to leave at 09.30...

Dates are wrong but Postcodes & timings still remain...
