It's been a while, must have sold my VTR 17 years ago. Didn't realise the forum was still up and running until I stumbled across it today. I did recognise a few user names though! I hadn't realise how time has passed. I've been retired from the fire service 7 ½ years now!
I still find myself looking at VTRs for sale on eBay. I'd love another one, but the wife doesn't seem to think me being back on a bike is a good idea!

How are you keeping Chris? Was trying to put a name with the user name. I was shocked how long ago it was. I was still a firefighter when I had the VTR. Promotion, kids and building work meant I needed a van, the bike wasn't getting used. I retired as Station officer, wish I still had the bike or a bike. Wife caught me looking at a GPZ900r a while back, what a telling off I got! Unfortunately I have to admit she's probably right about me not having another bike. I damaged my shoulder in a bad car crash a year before I retired and have arthritis in my hips. Don't think I could ride for very long or walk when I get off! But I can dream!

I was one of about 5 or 6 guy's who were on the Motor Cycle News Forum before joining here, I'm not sure if you were one of them or not?
