After being sat in the corner of the garage unattended to for over 3 years I finally decided to try and get her started. Bought a new battery as the old one was totally dead. I forgot how crap it is to try and fit the fiddly little square nut things into the battery and spent far to much time that I ought to swearing a lot and looking on the garage floor for dropped bits.
Anyway battery in, key in and I went through the meticulous process of trying to remember what I had to do to get her started. I gave it a few short presses of the button to see everything was still turning OK and all seemed good. Choke out and button in. Let her turn over for the count of 7 and stopped. Opened the throttle a couple of times just to help things ( it does seem to help start it don't ask why it just does) back on the button and I could feel her trying to catch.
Slowly but surly one cylinder started to do it's thing. Opened the throttle and she dies.
Tries again and this time the second cylinder decides to join the party. Very weak and slow at first. Probably as I hadn't changed the fuel but thought I would risk it. Suddenly both cylinders burst into life and the sound that I had forgotten was back. Initially she was missing a little but sounded great. I will definitely get her some fresh good fuel and let her run for a bit.
Next thought is an MOT will get her checked over when I get a chance.

Nice one.
I'd be checking the tyres very closely if it's been standing around for so long... Check the date stamps... Over 10 years old in the bin with them...

Good to hear from you Jazz
I hope all is good in your world.
