Intercom

Post by Duffy1964 »

I’m looking to get an intercom for the Devon trip and have been looking for a reasonable deal.
All I’m after is decent sound and to be able to make/ receive calls, listen to sat nav and music. I know the Cardo is popular but not sure if I need to listen to Tony’s thoughts in my head while riding Image

This is the best price I have found on the Cardo Edge, but open to advice before I buy. Image

That'll do the job.

I mostly use mine to hear the speed camera warnings and satnav directions rather than music.
But mine isn't mesh compatible, the one you're looking at is better.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

They are also very handy if you need help getting out of a hedge :shh:

My old Cardo has been excellent. Id choose them again when it needs replacing
My new ride is a bit of a Howler and I love to make her Squeal

So what your saying Pete is if I have this one it’s environmentally friendly and I wouldn’t need a hedge fund Image

duffy, I have just upgraded my old Cardo to that same edge version you showed and so far its performing well, although I still need to try out the mesh connection.

music, phone calls and satnav prompts are all loud and clear, and I like the voice commands that is a new feature that I never had on my old one.

oh and much to my surprise Tony talks a lot less when he is riding and there are very few Puns :D

Hi Al, thanks for your thoughts on this. I watched a YouTube video and I must say I’m impressed with the voice activation, I hope it responds to “AVOID THE HEDGE” I think I will get one as all I have heard is good reviews. ImageImage

The Gentlemen of Tyndale all use Cardos with DMC mesh mode. They work well. However, the voice activated bint is a yank and very picky about your pronounciation. She only understands some weird mid-western argot and refuses to learn geordie.

As mentioned, some of the cheaper Cardos only come with Bluetooth which is inferior.
