Petrol Prices

Post by jurgen »

Hey all

Just thought i'd ask but does any one know why the fuel prices have been coming down? Was wandering so that i could understand how far it could potentially drop to :-) Hopefull thinking more then likely.

Also what's the cheapest that peps have found petrol?

Best i've found so far is 87.9p / Ltr

Cheers

Well this was sort of my thinking i was wandering if it was due to the global price of oil having come down, or had they dropped the tax % on Petrol?

Figured that the later could be likely as were coming up to Christmas soon and i recently heard a statistic which said that people had less disposable income due to the price of fuel, this inturn could cause problems to the retail out lets during the Christmas period...in turn having an effect on the economy, but wasn't sure thought i would pitch the question. LOL

Can you guess what my job is yet?

its all due to the lack of demand due to the driving season having finished in America

cos they don't want so damned much, the price drops, and eventually filters thro' to us

86.9p / litre round here :D

Great, isn't it? Now only costs £10.50 to fill me bike up ('cept on motorways where it's still £11.70 odd).

apparently the investment houses that got on the "bandwagon" and made a profit thro' the climb in prices are now getting out, which is causing the price to drop further.....

Bollox to you all :x

Just back from a few days up the sharp end of the country where I stopped for juice just outside Thurso. £1.01 a litre, feck that I thought and drove on. Stopped at the next station about 30 miles later (fuel stops are a bit thin on the ground up there) and fill up as the fuel light had came on....fecking £1.03 a litre :x :x

Thats what i get for being tight
Rich.
