sp1 bodywork
sp1 bodywork
does anyone know if the sp1 bodywork will fit a firestrorm? i am struggling to find fairign panels that are not rediculously expensive or completely screwed (i have a set of those)
also has anyone found anywhere that sells engine covers, i need the non sprocket side and so far the interenet has not producrd anything, none of the aftermarket guys seem to make them for a firestorm either.
cheers

thanks
wow, how easy is it to fit the blade bodywork? has anyone from here done it?
i slid down the road for quite a way and have ground down the right engine cover, it weeps gently (much like me when i look at it) when left for any time. is it safe to weld this up? how much pressure is there behind it? it is the right hand (non sprocket) cover

There is plenty of things available on the market to make a satisfactory repair to your damaged casing, you'll have to have a look around, my be Halfords or any motor factors/suppliers or even the net. A mate of mine used one on his van sump called JB Weld, I think Evo-Stik made one called Quick Steel and I have a feeling Plastic Padding used to do one

Quote from the guy I bought it off

the fairing is off a 954 blade (rr2) you just need to trim room for the rads, front down pipe, and make a few brakets. I have used some cheapo ones from b+q and they only cos 3 quid. Hardest thing to fit was the seat unit some braket making on idustrial scale required and some welding but i think the end result will be totally worth it

I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!

I don't think the SP fairing will fit the storm, but I've never tried it. There certainly seems to be more/cheaper SP bodywork around than Storm.
The Fireblade fairing looks sooooo much better than the Storm offering (in my opinion). I never really liked the Storm bodywork much.
[Ooops, may have lit the blue touch paper..]
