I wondered about this when I was on the A57 in my car the other day. Can they actually get bikes though, as there is no front number plate "going in"?
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

see the bit in MCN the other week where they are using a camera with special lens to pinpoint 12 places on the front of a bike so they can tell what make of bike is speeding towards the camera...

Camera van can get bikes.................they just got me.
Slip road 40 limit onto dual carrigeway where limit is 70
passed rear facing van thought speed was ok but had 53 on clock they must have cameras inside van pointing forward to just to get bikers.
Thats Humberside for you. would suppose others do it too.
it may be clever, but its not big.

What! 8O
That's disgusting! 8O
I've always thought the on ramps were for getting up to speed so you can filter into the moterway at the same speed as the moving traffic.
I'd fight that one if you can Paul.

Why would they sit in that sort of area other than to catch people out? Everyone speeds up before they hit the national sign anyway.

It is all about cash and not Safety Partnerships. Why else would they be on the ramp entry?
I was done in a car at 47MPH in what I now know is a 40 zone at 5.35 in the morning on a completely clear dual carriageway!!!
Bl%dy ridiculous.
