Who wants to go............................

Post by cupasoop »

to the Italian MotoGP at Mugello?

I'm going, Dave the silver zipper is going and Iggy's going. :p

This is what happens when you go to a storm meet and drink too much, daft plans get hatched that get out of control.

Anyway, we've got our tickets. Anybody else fancy it? Leave Hull wed 30th May, 2 day blast down to Mugello, 2 and a bit days at race track and then a few days playing in the Alps on the way back.

Sounds good to me.

(yet another firestorm event with only one storm at going, lol)

I'll get back to you once I've checked cash and holidays etc.

Can you slap some details up please? Costs (tickets, travel, accomodation etc)

Due to the fact things take ages to get arranged on here, we've gone ahead and arranged all our tickets.

Race tickets can be had from here http://www.ticketone.it/, offical distributers and cheaper than the rest. Hope you can read Italian coz their translation into English is crap. Ask Dave how he did it. We're getting to the track on the Friday so we went for the 3 day ticket (main grandstand with numbered seating) so we can camp there for the 3 days as well.

Ferry? Depends where in the country you are and what would be easiest for you. Us...Wednesday night P & O from Hull to Zebrugga.

If anyone fancies it, get your tickets and we can arrange to join up on the way down or at the track.
Rich.

Any idea of an itinerary? I'm more likely to head for Dover the following morning. I have a feeling you'll be on the east of France and me down the middle. Be good to meet up though. What else you up to then, Stratman?

BUMP!

Itinerary/route anyone?

Dover -Calais is about £35 return which is somewhat cheaper than the overnight from Hell, sorry Hull. (unless you got some mega-deal) so I'll be headed that way. Anyone from oop North who wants to do the same is welcome to a stopover at mine (Dover is about 2 1/2 hours from here).

Of course this is all hypothetical at this stage, I could be selling Big Issue by then :(

Chill dude 8) , relax.

We only know the way down at the moment (motorways, boring but quick) and the way back is still open for debate but Monaco, Nice and the N85 Route Napoleon back up to the French alps has been suggested for starters (by me and seconded by iggy. Dave just wants to go somewhere  ) Our ferry back is on Thursday night so we'll be working our way back in that direction over the week.

I've done 2 routes down, our one and one from Calais and they meet just outside Metz. I'm sure theres a service station there we could meet at. Autoroute says we should be there by 12 lunchtime.

ps, dont ask Dave anything about this trip. He just starts giggling like a schoolkid when it gets mentioned.
