When we were kids and at school, time use to drag on some days, and Birthdays and Christmas use to seem like forever before the next one came around :!: :lol: Now they just fly around :!:

I hope your youngest daughter has a brilliant night :!:

did you want to feel old? im old feel me :lol:

my youngest had his prom last week, was supposed to go on his Harley but as I had planned to ride it there for him (he is 15) ,and he was going to ride up the drive we found the drive way is gravel so him and 2 mates hired a taxi, £30 for 10 mile round trip instead.

Crikey you sure have it easy, my partners daughter had her prom last week, cost a fortune, 2 dresses first one was made to order and she didn't like the fit even though she designed it herself, second one bought from a rather expensive shop, limo for her and 3 mates, then to top it all after the prom back to a party new samasung u600 phone stolen along with a digital camera and shoes and money...

Hope yours have a better ending than hers...

Now I am old, bleedin old and skint.

OLD...hold on girl! hardly applies does it!..but if you think Old is the right descriptive...well? I reckon 70 should be the age when you get described as being old..as for feeling Old,sorry but i cant relate to that..hey if you can still muster a vicious sneeze without pissing yourself, you aint Old :P :P :P

Proms came as a surprise to me too, two years ago when my daughter left school. All of a sudden i was Rockerfeller and my wife and daughter have never been so happy together. Bank manager wasn't too chuffed mind.

About this American 'prom' thing. I have noticed the creeping Americanisms hitting this country. My PA at work even said she had to go shopping at lunchtime to get something for a friends 'baby shower'. I suggested a small umbrella!!!!!!!!!!

Is "baby shower" an Americanism?

We've had baby showers & bridal showers here for yonks. Hmmm... then again, perhaps that's a "kitchen tea" instead of the latter. I'm so confused! :( :?
