What I learned about FireStorms today...

Post by Kitch »

I like to try and learn something new about my bike every now and then.

Today, I learned that a FireStorm WILL wheelspin in 4th gear on a wet dual carriageway.

What did you learn today?

I learnt that even brand new bikes have all sorts or quirks and niggles and that now i have spent all the extra money on air filters, exhausts, velocity stacks and exup bypasses, it doesn't run very well at all and lost laods of the torque

I didn't learn anything about my Storm today, but I did learn that no matter how many times I drink 2 bottles of wine I still get pissed.

I learnt that when trying to do a killswitch backfire (just to scare my mate behind as we passed under a bridge  ) not to leave it off too long else it results in rear wheel lock up and impressive amounts of tyre smoking :D

Well, today I learned that the front sprocket cover shares technology with the TARDIS. Who knew Honda were advanced enough to fit an extra-dimensional portal in there to accomodate the 18.4 gallons of shite I cleaned out of it today.

Continuing the theme, today I learned that when cleaning your chain and swingarm with white spirirt and degreaser, really really do not get it on the rear brake disc.

Makes slow control interesting and thank gods I wasn't cleaning the front with it.

I also learned that the torque setting of the rear axle nut is inversely proportional to the amount of skin it will strip off your knuckles when it suddenly frees.
