All info needed pls

Post by Beamish »

Just picked up my 2000 red VTR i am after some extras,
1. Which aftermarket cans give best sound/ perf results?
2. Any back end tidy up/ indicator accessories available?
3. What problems do VTRs suffer from to have checked out whilst the bike is still under garage warranty?

Thanks in advance for any info

1. Best sound, Blue Flame Evo Dual Port - reason being you can customise the sound as it has 4 baffles. Taking out various combinations will tune the sound and loudness. Best performance (and best outright sound) Akrapovic maike a full race system (headers and cans) for the Storm, tuned with a replacement air filter and jetted carbs will give best performance.

2. I'd recommend Powerbronze undertray as a tidy up. Excellent quality, great look, fittin grequires some hacksawing of the original undertray though. Plenty of flush mount and LED indicators around that fit.

3. Nothing really. Cam Chain Tensioners can be problematic, but these cant be checked. Read up on them in the workshop section, I will be fitting some aftermarket manual ones in the near future.

Have you tried the search! All I wanted was the tyre pressures, type it in see how many hits you get! Eventually downloaded the PDF and scanned that. Sorry for taking up so much of your time
