Tides of woe........

Post by Seeker 77 »

My wife was 11 weeks pregnant, we think she has mis-carried. The bottom has just dropped out of my world. Not much more to say really, just feel very, very empty and useless.......

Devastating :(

An opportunity to appreciate each other more.
Be willing to cry with her.
If you ate yourself would you become twice as big or simply disappear?

really sorry to hear that mate, i know how you feel about the useless part, my other half is just over 12 weeks and has a history of the same thing happening, so every time she has an ache or pain i'm worrying, if its meant to be , its meant to be, afraid its the choice of their body and nothing we can do but watch.
hopefully it will bring you both closer together and you can support each other and move on in a positive frame of mind.

Thank you all, we've just got back from a very efficient German hospital where they did an ultrasound. They said that everything is fine with the baby so far but the bleeding "cannot be explained". Still have a deep sense of dread in the pit of my stomach but at least at the moment all seems to be ok. Your thoughts are most welcome.

For those who don't know, i am not German! I am in HM finest and just live here to protect you all from the Russians, although they don't seem up for much of a fight!

My thoughts go out to you mate

Having been in the same position myself 6months ago the way I looked at it was:
- These things happen for a reason. Almost certainly something was not right with the embryo and the body needed to get rid. Its for the best

- You get to have all the fun of trying to catch again

Would this be your first child?
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!

I know exactly what you're going through matey, my wife miscarried last year at 12weeks. It hit me a lot harder than I thought it would.

She's now heavily pregnant though and expecting in January, so keep at it mate it will all work itself out. My wife had bleeding part way through this pregnancy with no ill effects, they think it's because she has endometriitis (almost certainly spelt incorrectly!)
