Post by Dazjm »

Hello

Im about to buy some stuff for my bike from wemoto,

But whats the difference between Firestorms FV , FW , FX (97-99) SC36

and

Firestorm FY (00) SC36.

Im nearly 100% sure my owners document says my bikes an FY, yet it was registered in 99

Anyone know the main differences, if any from the 97-99 bikes to the 00 bikes, just before i buy some wrong shiz

by shiz im talkin brake pads and wheel bearings

Sry for hassle!

the letters eg. FW are just the model designators, but very few if any changes in between each one, most parts are universal between all models right up to the last ones, the main model changes were to the F02+ models where the tanks were made bigger, air box smaller, bar height was raised and the clocks were changed for more digital bits and bobs, other than that most other changes were just to colour and cosmetic.

SC36 is honda's model number for the storm like RC45, RC30 etc

Criticism of the later instruments is that they're almost illegible. Best stick with the old style.

Of course, for an example of CLEAR digital readout, see the SV1000
