Rear Shock spacer ... confused!!

Post by grahamvtr100026 »

OK ... here is where the confusion lies with me .....

I have been advised its not a good idea to put a rear shock spacer in with the standard rear shock ..... (it can cause instability at high speeds?)

What is it about the aftermarket shock that makes it ok to put a spacer in?

Cheers for any help.

It doesn't :!: The main problem is the front forks are on the soft side, so putting a spacer under the rear shock will raise the rear putting more weight on to the front, it's got nothing to do with a standard or non standard rear shock :!:
