I agree.

The secondhand market is full of them. It's difficult to get a reasonable price. Looked at PX'ing my 2001 20,000 storm for a £5200 SP2 a bit back (when I had it...) and the dealer offered me £1600 :x

If I could have got £2000 for mine id have been happy. Unfortunatley VTR1000F's don't seem to hold their value like similar bikes.

Yep defo take it, it looks like £2K is about the top price at the mo for a 2001. What are you getting mate as a replacement ?

A van :(

I'm just not getting the chance to ride it. £2k sitting in the garage would help toward a van which would be used every day.
I don't want to wreck my car filling it with tools.

My cunning plan is to sell the bike and within the 2 years my no claims balance will be valid for save and get another bike. SP2!!!!!

Bitch depreciation ain't it  ,does seem a pretty good price tho given the amount of storms on the market right now, which i suppose makes them a good second hand buy (lot of bike or the money),
If you have to let it go then....
Cheers

I know it probably doesn't seem like it to you now, but I think you got a good price, especially from a dealer 8)
