Hi folks, I am said webmaster/owner of bikechatter - Mike, thanks for the mention, its appreciated. I actually followed him here from a link on my site to see what the place is like :D

As Mike says http://www.bikechatter.co.uk is a relatively new site, it was setup originally last september but because of a few bad choices in software and no time to fix all the issues I took it offline for 3 months, it was redesigned earlier this month and a whole load of work has gone into laying the right foundations.

The emphasis on the site is the articles and reviews section which is being expanded daily and perhaps even more than that once I get more items in to review :D The forum is really a central community to all this and we have features to bring in a few things like facebook has so rather than just being a place to post up you can develop your own groups: rideout groups, clubs etc within the forum itself.

My main aim (draws a long breath now) is to offer a decent and reputable alternative to MCN but keeping it online - I dont have the expertise or manpower to take anything to print and the web is easier to control (IMO) It will take time before we have the hitting power and money that MCN has so for now I will draw on the strengths of the site - we are already beating them in google for most of the items we have reviewed so something is going well...

Anyhoo, as I said, thanks for the mention Mike its nice to see us getting posted up in so many places already, the rest of you are more than welcome to pop in and say hello as you wish and at the moment I am running the first of many competitions, this time to win a set of alpinestars gloves.

cheers
