Polishing Advice

Post by Dazjm »

Wanting to spruce my bike somewhat.

Lets say i wanted to give the frame, swingarm, swingarm linkage, Generator cover, and right hand side engine cover a new lease of life.

I was thinking of polishing the swingarm/linkage and headers using these:

http://www.axminster.co.uk/product.asp? ... _id=21092&

then,

http://www.axminster.co.uk/product.asp? ... _id=649223&

But as to what can be done to the frame (while still on the bike) and the 2 engine covers, i wasnt so sure. So any suggestions or previous tarting up experiences would help.

What would happen to the rough bit of the frame (nearer the seat), if i used the above products on it?

cheers

Well, in the process of polishing very dirty headers. And its put me off polishing the swing-arm. Which ive sprayed with 4 coats of Hammerite.

Quick question..

How do i remove the front sprocket, when there is no back end attached?

Tryin to fit a new chain, without splitting any links.

The iridiums are nice, was just lookin at one on t'ebay. Aint they a cnut to keep clean?

As to front sprocket, ive got the footrest off, wanna remove the front sprocket, theres a big hex bolt in the middle of it, stick my socket on it, and it just spins the sprocket around

Will sticking it in gear help?
