Just a bit peed off !

Post by bikerpiker »

Myself ,wife n kids goin to Bournemouth/Poole in 3 weeks time, lookin forward to it,goin to take in the bike night at the quayside. :!: :)
We were goin to drive fly down, but as eldest daughter is 16 she needs her 1st passport, and due to legislation it says poss an interview would be required, indeed her friend had to go to Stirling to be interviewed(53miles each way),as the Glasgow office is closed or doesnt do them now :!: (16 year old terrorist) :?: :?: :?: :x
Rather than take a chance, and maybe not recieving interview/passport on time we have decided to drive down.
Checked the Ryanair website last night, flights for the week im going from glasgow/prestwick to bournemouth are
Outbound Flight cost inc taxes/fees/charges £0.01
Coming home total cost inc. above charges £4.98 ......so X 4 @ four returns for £20 :!: :!:
For the return drive i'll prob be £60 each way in fuel ,so theres £120 plus the overnight in the Travelodge which was not to bad at £30.
£150 as opposed to fekn £20,and i wouldve been there in 55 mins :!: :x

Could you get her a provisional moped licence within 3 weeks ? She might not want one, but if it saves money !!!!

Doesn't have to be a passport for internal flights. Licence or Govt. issued id card would do.

Normally, you are right, but this is Scotland we are talking about

You do need photo ID though, so the moped licence is a bloody good idea!
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

That'll be fun. I remember the drive down to Cornwall a few years back, 11 hours of traffic cone misery.
Yep,done that as well 4 years ago :!:
Have drove to B'mouth a good few times as well, but usually leave at midnight, cos kids sleep most of the way,and if they're sleepin, the're not fightin n arguing :!:
