Will be getting a Firestorm soon!!

Post by Jockrock »

Hey guys (and Gals if there are any)

I'm on the prowl for a Black/Silver Firestorm and have decided its the bike I want. Ticks all the boxes for me, I wanted something powerful, nice to look at and not to expensive. Definately want a V twin, had a look at the TL, heard its more powerful etc, but I think it looks hideous.

Been riding for 4 Years now and have been keen to learn before moving on to something a bit meatier. So my Bandit has gone.

Look forward to getting some pics up and getting to know you all.

Are there any members in or around Ayrshire?

Cheers Jock

Christ, another one.

Myself, BikerPiker and Geordie are around this neck of the woods (although only 2 of us have a storm  ), with a few others further afield.

Good choice mate, I came off a Bandit on to the Storm and it was no problems. I see one flaw in your plan............the black choice 8O 8O buy a red one they are the best by far

Welcome aboard Jock

At this rate we'll have to have an Ayrshire chapter

Nice to know you plumped for a VTR - I am totally biased!

The colour is less important than the fact that it's a VTR you want.

I see you've posted on Bob's thread re his Black one. Very nice bike and very well looked after, not sure if he still has it but I'm sure he'll be along soon and update. failing that Lee or Alan might know if it's still in his possession :)

However, I do have to agree with Beamish .....

RED ALL THE WAY!!!!

Try this link .... Dookie is selling his nice Red one 'again' too

Be quick before Jim gets sweaty palms though!!!

Lol theres a lot of colour banter ffs

good to see so many local members.

Yeah was time to move up from the bandit, I have wanted a firestorm since some guy in my work beasted it away from the junction onto the carrigeway. After that I knew I wanted one.

Whats your local runs? I'm in Largs....so me an one of the guys from work do what we call the ferry run over to Dunoon then back round. Its a good blast.

I've been trawling Adtrader and Ebay for Firestorms, but not seen anything I've liked so far, bob got back to me, his is no longer availible

I'm going to bide my time and try and pick up a good one.......knowing my luck it'll be november by the time I find one.

PS Black ones look faster.......

PS Black ones look faster.......

That's just an optical illusion as it is well known that the yellow ones are the fastest!

Have fun with your new VTR when you get it!!!!!!!

This might be worth a look mate, although I know it's not black or silver!
Not too far away from you either really.

Almost bought it myself the other week but something else came along. :)

Good luck,

Jockrock....yes,my bike likes a wee shot on the Dunoon ferry as well
Always the cheapo "Western Ferries" on that particular route, due to the half price tickets :!:
We sometimes drop into the carpark (well bikepark) in Largs ,either on way there or back, dependin on route :!:
