Ive just googled the ones above,they are totally different to ours,which are more like a crispy oaty biscuit ,whereas those look like what we call crumpets

Nah Tim,up here a pancake is smaller dia. and aboot half inch thick,whereas crumpets are twice the dia. and thin and floppy.
I know what you mean though,cos when ive been down the south coast in supermarkets,the crumpets are like our pancakes with holes in them.
