I was just wondering........
does anyone know what mileage you should get out of the SP before it need major overhaul (i.e engine out, bearings, pistones etc).
Mines done well over 20k now.

Although they are a lot more powerful than the Firestorm they are not in a very high state of tune so should be capable of high mileage if serviced on time, my Blade has 36K and touch wood runs sweet as a nut trapped between Jodie Fosters breasts (now thats sweet)

I have heard of one going to 106K.....the owner only got rid of it when he was t-boned by a kind lady.
If you are concerned, then get the valve clearances checked (I think that they are due at 24K??).
SP engines are fairly bullet proof...no real main weaknesses at all.
