LOL, just promoting a discussion.
Nutty and i are heading to the Tan Hill inn in yorkshire dales: http://www.tanhillinn.co.uk/
the 12th-14th sept if any of you southerners want to meet up, we'll be in the camper van with the kids though. but might be a good place to start, it was origionally going to be a bike (firebladers) rally but not enough interest so now just a wee weekend break.

Need it to stop pi$$ing down first though......
Squires could be a reasonable start for a good day's loop - you've the choice of the dales or peaks from there. Could even go up through Ilkley, Settle, Hawes, Bridge, Glasson, Knot End......Just need a tankful to get 60 miles the start!
That said, i'd love someone to show me some decent routes around here - all I EVER do is whip up the Cat and back, maybe with a loop through Whaley Bridge or a daring blat to Matlock! Headed over to the Stormy Petrel last Thursday evening - it was heaving, but had to stick to main roads as I didn't know any twisty routes - local knowledge is invaluable!
Dates? A sundays all I can manage until the start of November, but we should be able to sort something out!
