I've lead you all astray

Post by VTRgirl »

No, I'm not really a bloke... A while ago, I posted up about a trip over your way next year. I know you'll all be devastated, but circumstances have changed & the chances of that are now slim-to-none, although it'll certain only be postponed, not cancelled!

I'm sure you'll understand though... Our funds are going to be a tad more stretched than initially envisaged because we've taken out a contract to buy an acreage just off one of the best biking roads in Queensland :D Woohooooo!!

There are two houses on the property (just in case any of you decide to pop over for a night or two), a good dam with plenty of yabbying to be done, a pool, and the icing on the cake? There's already a dirt-bike track established in the back paddock!

There are now three very excited kids who each have their own chook-chaser (even the 5-year old girl ;) ), and a couple of hugely mortgaged FireStormers.

So if any of you are game enough to taste the true Aussie country experience, you know where to look!

Sounds like heaven, could give it all up and buy a victorian terrace in UK and still have a mortgage the size of Brazil

Thanks guys :D

Despite the scariness of a mortgage several times bigger than either of us have already, we're really looking forward to it. His place is due to settle at the end of this month & "our" place should be ours 20th October. We've been able to wangle it so we can even keep the place I have now as an investment, so GO the tax write-offs!

I've been stupid enough to take on all the conveyancing, but that's a whole lotta stress you don't want to hear about!

And for all you staffy lovers out there, it looks like a young'un will be included with the property... I've never had a dog, but I'm guessing my pet-food bill will be about a hundred times what it is now with just one of the feline variety :? (and don't even think about suggesting feeding one to the other... I'd hate my cat to choke on a staffy bone :P )
