Oor wee day oot

Post by bikerpiker »

I was fed up readin about you lots proposed meet-up , knowing i couldn't make it  , havin said that, if any of us had proposed it, i suppose us Scottish members could've arranged something :!:

Anyway, myself and a couple of mates went a run today ,(non-stormers) although one has admited to browsing the site occasionally :!: :!:

We did roughly 240 miles round trip ,there were loads of bikes out everywhere :!:

Hope you lot get decent weather , nothin worse than lookin forward to somethin, then gettin rained off ,our weather was mainly good, but got the odd shower ,though not too bad at all ,roads mainly dry :!:

We went via the Erskine Bridge , Loch Lomond, Inveraray ,and up to Oban.
Home via the Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum ,rather than our more usual ferry journey 8O

Here's a few pics .

At the "Rest and be thankfull ".

Think one o' the guys at the dive club's running an October trip up there, must see if I can get on it. Found out last Friday one of my dive buddies has just applied for citizenship to New Zealand, so it may be the last chance I get to have a boozey dive trip with him :(

Stunning mate!

Me and mine are going to a cottage near Inverness for our honeymoon last week in October - I'm PRAYING for a clear (if chilly) week! Should be great no matter what!

What about a Scottish bash next year - Easter maybe? It'd give us time to organise it, find a bike friendly campsite (or B+B) to use as a base and muster the troops! I'd be well up for it!
Perseverance takes too long....

Did the Spean to Laggan/Dalwhinnie road alright. A lot of it has been resurfaced and is now as smooth as a baby's elbow. I even gave me tyres a roasting, edges a bit chewed (not too bad for an old boy, the ZX makes old codgers like me look good!!)

Heading up to Skye next week for lunch with me dad, anyone care to join me for a blast?
