Locked away at the mo (work commitments) so no chance of a blast on the bike, bit depressing but looking forward to the blast on Sunday. No mickey taking just because I am on an IL4

sh1t!!!! I thought about working it out earlier and fought the urge, now you have asked i am going to have to :) And yes i have OCD Tendencies :)

138 miles using place names, which would mean the centre of the places named so take a few off as you probably skirted the towns/villages.

I know, i am sad, but i am 200 miles from home with nowt better to do
Dont feel bad aboot it Timbo ,i'd worked it out last night, i just didnt like to say........incase you thought i was sad :!: :)

Well, There's quite a bit of scope for inaccuracies but this is the route I've calculated:

I've started at Invergorden (BP petrol station on the High Street). I could only see 2 and both seem close together.

B817 to Alness - Now it depends whether you continued along the railway to meet up directly with the B9176 or cut across towards Achandunie to meet it further North. I've gone for the latter.

At Ardmair I've not detoured, just routed straight passed the no doubt lovely scenary.

In Ullapool, I've just routed straight through, North Rd, Mill St, Shell garage.

Coming back into Alness I've taken the left branch onto the B817 over the railway and following it back into town, out the other side, passed the BP garage to Saltburn.

A grand total of 130 miles in, according to Mapsource 2 hours 37 min

Add another 1.2 miles for the Saltburn to petrol station distance on the way out.

Feck me that's sad  - but strangely satisfying

This OCD thing must be catching.

I did cut across via achandunie. :)

Timbo,
No skirting of villages in the Highlands, 1 road in and 1 road out :)

Cheers.
