Taking the bike, obviously.
Just though I'd mention it.

Sooooo.....
I went, and it was good. But bloody hell it rained. Put the tent up on four inches of mud at the track after more rain in one day than the area usually has in a month.
It actually rained at least once every day, and all day for most of them.

And although race day was even "shirt off" for about twenty minutes when the sun came out, it rained all the way home.

EXCEPT:
we came over the pass through Andorra- and it snowed! eight inches of snow.
As we were heading up into the snow-covered mountains through snow- bordered streets we passed a snowplough coming down.
it makes you wonder why you bother, some days.... :?

But the Storm was relatively well-behaved, coughed a bit on cheap Spanish petrol when it was really cold, and a couple of wires came loose, but nothing that needed fixing until I got home.

But then, today, not even a week back in Blighty, the front CCT went as I was riding.
Got it mostly stripped, and tomorrow I'll see if it's bent any valves.
Hoping I just have to replace the CCT with a spare old one until I can get some APE manual ones- but we'll see.

Could have been worse- we were holding 100-110 for most of the 2400 miles there and back- even in the rain.
(slowed down a bit for the snow, though!)

Am I going to do it again?

HELL, YEAH!
:D

You may not have had the good weather you were hoping for but, it must have been one h*ll of a trip :!:

Glad too hear you're back in one piece after all that lot and that the CCT stayed good until you got home, as Tim said :!: :D
